Privacy & Cookie Policy.
What personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.
Last updated: 28 October 2026
1. Who we are
Raazfar Digital (“we”, “us”) is a sole proprietorship based in South Africa that designs and builds websites and digital platforms. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy and handle it in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and other applicable privacy laws. Our information officer is the owner of Raazfar Digital, who you can reach at [email protected].
2. What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, email address, phone number, company, country and the details of your enquiry, whether you use our contact form, email or WhatsApp.
- When you become a client: your billing details, account number, invoices, payments and your login details for our client portal. Passwords are stored in encrypted (hashed) form, so we can’t see them.
- When you pay by card: your payment is handled by a secure third-party payment provider. We receive a confirmation and a reference, and, if you set up automatic payments, the card type, last four digits and expiry date. We never see or store your full card number.
- Technical information: like any website, our hosting provider processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
We don’t collect more than we need, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children.
3. How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare quotes.
- To provide our services, send invoices, process payments and give you access to the client portal.
- To send you messages about your account, such as invoices, payment confirmations and service updates.
- To keep our website and systems secure.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping financial records.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t send marketing messages unless you’ve asked for them. You can opt out at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We only share personal information with service providers that help us run the business, and only what they need to do their job:
- our website hosting and security provider;
- our email provider, and the form service that delivers contact form messages to our inbox;
- our payment provider, to process card payments;
- our accountant or SARS, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers store data outside South Africa. When that happens, we only use providers that protect personal information to a standard similar to POPIA.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and follow up. Client and billing records are kept for at least five years after the end of our relationship, because tax law requires it. After that, we delete or anonymise them.
6. How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) throughout, hashed passwords, secure login cookies, access controls and reputable providers. If a security breach puts your information at risk, we’ll let you and the Information Regulator know as the law requires.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your information, unless we have to keep it by law;
- stop using your information for a particular purpose, including marketing.
Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za, or to the privacy regulator where you live.
8. Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser.
- Our public website (raazfar.com) doesn’t use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may set a short-lived security cookie to protect the site from bots and attacks.
- Our client portal (portal.raazfar.com) uses one essential cookie to keep you logged in. It can’t be read by other websites and is removed when you log out or it expires.
- Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers. Google doesn’t set cookies for this.
Because we only use essential cookies, we don’t show a cookie banner. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the client portal won’t be able to keep you logged in without its cookie.
9. Other websites
Our website links to other sites, such as WhatsApp and the projects in our portfolio. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
